GameChanger runs on its community — Reddit, Discord, streamers and gamers who believe every kid in a hospital bed deserves to play. You don't need money. You need a few hours and a skill you already have. There's a player slot open. It's yours.
You're not the first to spawn in.
A crew of designers, writers, devs, mods and streamers already plays for these kids. Reddit threads, Discord voice channels, charity streams at 2am. Pull up a chair — the lobby's open.
Choose a class. Bring what you've got.
Every quest below maps to a real need. Pick by the skill you enjoy using — and by the time you can actually give. We'd rather have two honest hours than a burned-out hero.
Turn your stream into a hospital game room.
You already have an audience that loves games. Point it at kids who need them. We hand you the kit — you bring the hype.
The fundraiser kit
- 1 Tiltify + Twitch setup — connect your channel and run a live fundraising goal with on-stream alerts.
- 2 MineChanger — our Minecraft charity world; build, host a server event, and rally your community to power play.
- 3 Gaming for Good Month — join the annual community-wide stream push with overlays, copy and a leaderboard.
- 4 Brand assets — logos, overlays, lower-thirds and impact stats, ready to drop into OBS.
Your charity stream doesn't just raise money — it stocks a cart, powers a console, and drops a controller into a kid's hands. Every dollar routes through the world's only networked Xbox hospital system, live in 250+ hospitals.

The world's only networked Xbox hospital system.
An hour you give in Discord or on stream doesn't disappear into a feel-good void. It feeds in-room consoles, VR, game rooms and comfort gifts — live in 250+ hospitals on five continents. This is a category of one, and the crew keeps it running.
"Thanks to GameChanger, we created what we believe is the world's most advanced safe gaming network in any hospital — serving over 350 kids a day."

Two minutes. We match you to a quest sized to your real availability — then you meet the crew in Discord. No money asked, ever.

The questions everyone asks.
Wait — is this real?
Yes. GameChanger is a survivor-founded 501(c)(3) (EIN 26-3438815) based in Dana Point, CA, operating since ~2007. It's the 2026 California Nonprofit of the Year (Senate District 36) and runs the world's only networked Xbox hospital system across 250+ hospitals on five continents. The Discord and the streams are the same community that builds it.
Do I need money to volunteer?
No. Volunteering costs nothing. You're giving time and skills, not dollars. If you want to also run a fundraiser, the creator kit makes that easy — but it's never required, and it's a separate thing from joining the crew.
Is remote okay?
Remote is the default. The crew lives in Discord and on stream — design, writing, tech, community and most events happen from wherever you are. In-person hospital work is handled by staff and clinical partners, not volunteers.
How much time do I actually have to commit?
As little as 1–2 hours a week. Quests are sized to the time you tell us you have, and you can pause anytime. We'd genuinely rather have a sustainable two hours than a flameout.
Do I need to be a hardcore gamer or a pro designer?
No. If you can write a clear sentence, make a tidy graphic, moderate a chat kindly, or wrangle a spreadsheet, there's a quest for you. The only requirement is caring about kids getting to play.
How old do I have to be?
Most online quests are open to 16+ (with a parent's okay if you're under 18). Some roles that touch tools or accounts may require 18+. Ask in the intake and we'll point you to the right quest.
Gaming for Good Month.
Once a year the whole community streams, builds and plays to power hospital game rooms — MineChanger worlds, Twitch marathons, Tiltify goals, the works. It's the easiest on-ramp there is: bring a couple hours, join the leaderboard, and watch the total climb.
