Build something that outlasts all of us.
A controller in a sick kid's hands is a small thing that changes a hospital stay. A major gift turns that one bedside into a network — a place that's still handing kids their game night back long after any of us are in the room.

It started in a hospital room, with a controller.
Taylor Carol was a kid when leukemia put him in a hospital bed for five years. Gaming wasn't a pastime — it was the thing that kept him connected, kept him a person, kept him a kid through treatment that takes both from you. He survived. He helps lead GameChanger today.
"We built GameChanger to give every kid in a hospital bed the same lifeline that carried my son through cancer."
The world's only networked Xbox hospital system. Reaching a fraction of who already loves it.
GameChanger built something no one else has — and there's a gap between the audience that cheers for this work and the resources behind it. A major gift is how that gap closes.
YouTube subscribers — a community of gamers and families who already believe play belongs at the bedside.
annual operating scale for a charity that runs the only networked hospital game system on five continents.
That's the opportunity. A category-defining program, a proven distribution machine, $18.4M in lifetime in-kind leverage — and room to grow many times over. Major donors don't fund a gap. They fund the next chapter.
This isn't a feel-good story. It's clinically backed.
Major gifts deserve major rigor. Here is the medicine behind the mission — and the research partner advancing it.
Research partner
GameChanger partners with the Yale XR Lab to study how extended-reality and game-based play reduce stress for hospitalized children — turning bedside joy into measured outcomes.
5,550 children
Across 59 trials, the gold standard of medical evidence found distraction — including games and play — is the best-supported way to ease the pain and distress of needle procedures.
"Prescribe" play
The American Academy of Pediatrics calls play essential to healthy development — and urges clinicians to prescribe it.
What a major gift builds.
Not a donation form — a set of outcomes. Each tier is a concrete thing your gift puts inside a hospital. Above $50,000, it begins with a conversation.
A game-room refresh
New titles, controllers and repairs for an existing hospital game room — keeping a space kids already love fully stocked for a year.
A networked console suite
A set of in-room consoles wired into GameChanger's safe hospital network — letting kids on the same ward play together from their beds.
Name a hospital game room
Fund and name a dedicated game room in a partner children's hospital — a permanent place to play, with your name or a loved one's on the door.
Build the next chapter — together
Gifts above $50,000, multi-year pledges and DAF commitments start with a conversation with Jim & Taylor, not a checkout. We'll design the impact, the naming, and the reporting around what matters to you.
Gifts at every tier run securely through Stripe (test mode on this concept site). Gifts of $50,000+ and pledges route to the founders directly — no payment is taken online.
Put a name on something that keeps giving.
Naming gifts make a space, a program, or a year of play permanent — for you, for a family member, for a child you remember.
A named game room
A dedicated, named game room inside a partner children's hospital — the room a kid wheels into when they need to be a kid again.
A named console network
Underwrite and name GameChanger's networked gaming system across a hospital — the infrastructure that serves hundreds of kids a day.
A named survivor scholarship
Endow a named scholarship for childhood-illness survivors — the same path Taylor walked, made possible for the next kid.
Give the way that's smartest for you.
Cash is one path. For many major donors, a donor-advised fund, appreciated stock, crypto, or a wire is the more tax-efficient way to make a bigger gift.

Major donors who've backed this work.
Real supporters who chose to fund play at the bedside — and the hospitals that put their gifts to work.
"The joy on our patients' faces when they receive a GameChanger gaming kit is unforgettable. It transforms their hospital stay, giving them a sense of normalcy and connection that medicine alone can't provide."
"Thanks to GameChanger, we created what we believe is the world's most advanced safe gaming network in any hospital — serving over 350 kids a day."

Major gifts, naming opportunities, DAF and pledge commitments, planned giving — all of it starts the same way: a real conversation with the people who built this, including a survivor who lived the reason it exists.

Where a major gift goes — and what we'll tell you plainly.
Major donors deserve the real numbers, including the ones still in progress. Here they are.
In the spirit of full transparency: GameChanger's lifetime support totals roughly $26M, about 70% of it in-kind ($18.4M — donated digital codes and games), which means a cash major gift is leveraged many times over by the industry's product donations. An independent financial audit is currently underway; we're glad to walk you through it in detail and share documents directly. We'd rather tell you what's in progress than imply everything is finished.
